I really don't like having to come up with titles all the time!  Arg~

 

All I want to say is that I am maybe 1/4 to 1/3 of the way going through all the hundreds of pictures we took in Las Vegas (I filled 4 512 memory cards) and I am slowly getting the pictures organized and uploaded to Kodak Gallery.  Rather than dump everything into one huge album where you have to click through tons of pictures, I am organizing them so that you can skip to just what you want to look at - vow renewal, Secret Garden (lions, tigers, alpacas), Bellagio Conservatory, etc. 

 

It is slow going, but I am getting there.

 

I am also making progress on the announcements.  I was much more excited about them before the reality of them hit me in the face.  I paid a professional wedding inviation company $150 for 100 announcements to professionally typeset and print them.  Turns out that they are punch out and that the perforations are just flat out TACKY.  I can not send them out that way.  So I am filing them off with a fingernail file.  All 100 of them.  Or at least the 70+ that I am for sure sending out.  *sigh*  The envelope seals that I also had professionally commissioned and printed turned out.. just "blech".  Honestly I'm disgusted with the whole thing, but I had such a wonderful time at the vow renewal and I want my loved ones to know about it and a 10 year anniversary is a big deal, especially for two kids that got married so young (and some would say "so impulsively").  Plus the announcements have the link to the website so that folks can see the video of the vow renewal.  I've got 24 of the darned announcements filed so far and I have all the envelopes addressed already.  It'll be ok.  Think positive, right?  I just have to remember that most people aren't as critical as I am.

 

If I didn't send you a Christmas card and you would like an announcement (or at least the link to the video of the renewal) and I know you from real life or if I have a blogging relationship with you, then private message me and I'll hook you up.  If I've been blogging with you for a while I promise I will not whine or mumble under my breath when I am filing the perforation bumps off of your announcement.

What's new with me?

 

My mom is in town.  She is going to watch the kids while Shawn and I go to Las Vegas. 

 

We will be in Las Vegas next week for our 10 year wedding anniversary.  Plans are moving right along for the vow renewal, nearly everything is finalized.

 

Both Coco and and Wesley are running fevers right now.  Coco's was 103.0 earlier and Wesley's was 101, but he wasn't holding it under his tongue right.  Coco stayed home from school today and I am almost certain that I am going to keep her home tomorrow.  Motrin / Tylenol combo seems to be working on her fever now and she is the most animated now that she has been all day.  We'll see what the morning brings.  I may take them to the doctor tomorrow or wait and see if they get over it on their own.  They aren't complaining of any other symptom that would give a clue as to what it could be.  Just high fevers and sleeping a lot.  Good thing it happened now instead of next week when we were gone!

 

Both Shawn and I are feeling a little under the weather, keeping fingers crossed that we are healthy for our trip!  Also keep fingers crossed that Mom doesn't get sick!

 

I found a wonderful lady that forumulates her own mineral cosmetics with as few ingredients as possible for people with sensitive skin.  She sent me samples and I love the colors and the make up didn't irritate my skin or eyes and it felt like silk.  When the samples came, I didn't have proper brushes for application, so that was a little messy, but removal was very easy.  I didn't even need to use make up remover, just warm water and a washcloth.  She has been great about recommending colors for me and holding my hand, I've not ever been much for wearing make up and don't really know what I'm doing.  Anyways, she has been a sweetheart and I am going to order my "full face" from her in the next day or two.  She is even going to ship right away so that I get it in time for our Vegas trip.  :)

 

Speaking of make up, starting this weekend (4/18) I am having a The Body Shop At Home cataloge party.  The last one since the "at home" portion of the company is closing at the end of April.  I'll post the link here once my party starts in case any readers want to "shop" and place an order.  It can all be done over the internet securely.  I am going to stock up on my Moroccan Rose scent collection and my various face and eye creams.  I'm sad that they are closing because I have had a lot of fun going to the parties with my girlfriends.
